Penny Pinching Holiday Makeover

I love decorating for the seasons. There's just something about walking into someone's home when they have taken the time to put out some holiday decor that just makes me smile. Although I wish I had a ton of expendable income I unfortunately live off a teachers salary and have some heft student loans to pay. Lucky for me I jumped on the pinterest bandwagon over the Summer and I have to admit I'm slightly addicted. I have found so many great ideas that I am so thankful that people have shared.

After creating a number of things for my classroom I ventured into the DIY craft boards. One of the first things that I created that was pinterest inspired was this cute little Halloween Wreath.
Tom, bless his heart, is a trooper and puts up my little crafting ways. He was nice enough to let me hang this on our door for all the neighbors to see.

While making this I knew that the orange burlap could easily be used for a Thanksgiving wreath as well. The penny pinching makeover was complete today. Off came the spider and I added a little fall bow. For a total of 5 bucks I have created a wreath that welcomes our neighbors with holiday cheer for the months of October and November. Easy Holiday Makeover!
